This book is an introduction to some of the larger fungi found on Lower Eyre Peninsula and enables the reader to identify many of them. 190 species are described and illustrated by 550 colour photographs. The text includes discussion of the nature of fungi, their toxins, ecology, the response to fire, macroscopic and microscopic structure. There is an account of the habitats offered by the region and the place of fungi in these habitats.
